Delivered in strategic partnership with CD Power the distributor for the PowerCore product, the project includes the supply and installation of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), further enhancing Fortescue’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainable mining practices.
This project highlights the strength and capability of Indigenous-owned businesses in delivering innovative energy solutions for major mining operations. The Microgrid will
play a critical role in reducing diesel power generation, improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and supporting Fortescue’s decarbonisation targets.
